CHIC + YUMMY

I hope you all are having a truly wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and indulging in some free time with family and friends, as well as lots of delicious things to eat.  I wanted to share this stunning Maison du Macarón, in Mexico. The bright colors of the sweet macaroons against the stark white is appetite inducing...

One of each for me, please!

ECLECTICLY ELEGANT

When I first saw this Park Avenue apartment designed by Eric Cohler, I wasn't quite sure what to think. There were so many different elements and juxtapositions coming together in such a complimentary way. The easy elegance and glamour of the space is met by clean lines, and interesting pops of color to make it a perfectly liveable space! Every space is truly and absolutely accomplished without being overdone...

I love, love, love this chair and lamp combination...

BRIGHT , BOLD, + SUSTAINABLE

Suno NY was a dream 12 years in the making for Max Osterweis. Inspired by his love affair with Kenya and its people, he strived to create a clothing line sustainable, fashionable, and one the completely exudes beauty. I would have to say mission accomplished! The sweet juxtaposition of these bold colors and prints somehow works so easily without assaulting your eyes. They are gorgeous and yet look so comfortable.

Not generally a tye dye kinda girl, I am absolutely loving this outfit! The soft blue and white paired with the pink printed skirt is so fun!

ANN CARRINGTON

Since seeing her work on 9 by Design, I have been smitten with Ann Carringtons beautiful works with pearl buttons. They are downright fun... and a serious statement piece. While I'm a classic kind of girl, and adore the white on black, I would definitely go for that colorful masterpiece as well!

Ann offers many absolutely gorgeous pieces of work in many different mediums. Check out her work here!

BAR IN A BASKET

I, along with many of you, have an absolute affection for bar trays and tables. These baskets are a natural and summery change (that can be affordably accomplished) and I think they are so lovely.

unassuming and comfortable, don't you think?

A SUNNY WAY TO START THE DAY

OSTRICHES, BURLAP SACS, AND AN EGG, OH MY!

What is it about this rooms that just works? Its quirky, but elegant. Romantic and quaint. Simply a delicious space to feast with friends...

LAUNDRY ROOM LUST

The house we just moved into is an ideal situation for us, since the next time we are moving could be tomorrow, could be next year. But... it's not the dream situation to say the least. The laundry room needs SERIOUS love and attention... I've been working on it.. and can't wait to share it when I am finally finished. In the meantime, a girl can dream right? These rooms are functional, and lovely!

apothecary jars in the laundry room? yes, PLEASE!

DAISIES?... A WHITE PENDANT LIGHT

I've seen these photos a few times now, and they have continually captured my eye. The flawless white room that is. I have seen different aspects of this room highlighted, but what I think is the truly stunning feature are the pendant lights. I went to Ikea looking for them this weekend without having seen these photos... and it just confirms how badly I want one...

There is something so Bob and Cortney Novogratz about them... something subtly yet eye catching. And for $90... it's quite the statement!

CLASSY KATHERINE

I rarely talk about high fashion on this blog, and it's not that I don't adore it... it just simply isn't my passion. But as I sit here among piles of clothing that need to be unpacked and put away... I really wish that I had the fabulous wardrobe of Katherine Heigl in this photoshoot for Harpers Bazaar...

WANDER OVER WEDNESDAY

                                                    ...to Bright.Bazaar

and meet will Will! the stylish, sweet, and funny GUY behind Bright.Bazaar, a blog with wonderfully eclectic mixes of interiors.

My dream office looks like...
Lots of storage, a huge window with a desk looking out over the view and
a stylish rug.

What do you love most during your day?
The serenity of dawn, a mug of hot coffee and a quick catch up on the news is
my favourite way to start the day.

What is your favourite space in your house?
I'm currently moving, so anywhere I'm not surrounded by boxes! I really like setting
the table for a long, drawn out breakfast, especially in winter.
So, I guess the kitchen is my favourite space.

What is your favourite thing about your city?
All the lovely parks; I love being in the middle of a city but being surrounded
by green, open spaces because it's the best of both worlds.

My favourite colour palette is...
I'm a big fan of brights, but at the moment my fave has to be yellow; there is
something so uplifting about it.

When i'm not blogging, I am...
Shopping, swimming, or sleeping!

What are five of your favourite things RIGHT now?
1. Olives

2. Shelter Magazines

3. Pastries

4. Greek Islands

5. Fresh blooms

WILL'S TOP THREE DESIGN TIPS
1. Be brave with colour, because it's easy to mix things up if you feel like a change
in a few months.  Little splashes of colour, be it through fresh blooms,
comfy textiles or a new vase can really lift a scheme.

2. Good lighting takes a room from good to amazing.  Dimmer switches = the
key to making any lighting work for the good mood of the moment.

3. If you don't like a piece of furniture anymore, then get crafty with it!

Thank You Will! It was so fun to have a guy wander over!

In Love...

This gallery wall is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. What a stunning way to showcase old family photos that would otherwise sit in a box. The frames perfectly compliment the patina of the old photos, and the way that these cover the whole wall is so perfect!

Seaside Finds

Recently when I was at Pottery Barn, I had one of those rare "I want absolutely everything in the store" moments. Seriously... they have SO many fantastic things right now, it was difficult to pick a couple things to post here...

The coral, shells, drift wood, glass baubles and various other natural accents they had would bring a seaside vibe to any home.

this worn wood "Markham" table was absolutely gorgeous, and could transform any odd corner of a house into a stunning bar.

Eating outside is one of summer's greatest pleasures. Wouldn't it be fun to entertain with these?

These jars are just so lovely... wouldn't an orchid growing in them be pretty?

I have always thought a mason jar was a really fun, yet vintage way to serve drinks. And this summer, its all the rage! I have seen them everywhere. This Mason Jar pitcher would be perfect for sweet summer tea!
